½ cup almonds/badam
hot water to soak
¼ cup milk
1½ tbsp ghee / clarified butter
¼ cup sugar
2 tbsp saffron milk
¼ tsp cardamom powder/elaichi powder
few dry fruits (chopped).


Badam Halwa in 7 steps:

  1. Firstly soak Nickmics Almonds in warm water so that the skin is easy to peel off.
  2. Finely ground the soaked almonds then use them for badam halwa, alternatively you can also make a paste for a different texture. If you are vegan you can also use almond milk & oil in place of ghee or milk.
  3. It is important to have a texture of the ground almonds similar to semolina / rava.
    Cook almonds paste in ghee until it imparts nutty aroma & changes colour.
  4. Add whole wheat flour. Keep stirring until the almonds and wheat flour mixture are well roasted. Add water & milk mixture.
  5. Add sugar. Mix well till the halwa is semi-dry. Add saffron and cardamom powder.
  6. The consistency of badam halwa is thick. Avoid overcooking.
  7. Serve badam ka halwa hot garnished with almond slivers!
